Settings for bigger setups of the Power BI Performance board

for customers with 150.000 sku's or more will need a power bi premium per user setup to use the AGR Performance boards

  1. Upgrade the workspace to Premium Per User
    ​
    In the top-right, click Workspace settings (cogwheel icon).
    Go to License info.
    Change the workspace license to Premium Per User (PPU).
    ​(Your IT department must have assigned a PPU license to the user installing the app.)

  1. Configure the semantic model (dataset)
    ​
    Back in the workspace, open the AGR Performance Board dataset/semantic model.
    Go to File → Settings (Semantic model settings).

Update the following:

  • Refresh

  • Enable Scheduled refresh.

  • Recommended refresh time: after 06:00 for the most up-to-date data.

  • Note: A full refresh can take up to 5 hours, so data may not be available until midday.

  • Large semantic model storage format

  • Turn On.

  • Query scale-out

  • Turn On.

  • Parameters

  • Enter the token provided by us.

Then return to the workspace overview.

  1. Update workspace storage format
    ​
    ​
    Open Workspace settings again.

    Go to License info → Edit.

    Under Semantic model storage format, select Large semantic model format.

    Close the settings panel.

  1. Run the first refresh

Back at the workspace page, hover over the dataset/semantic model and click the Refresh icon to start the initial data load.
