Split By Constraints

Updated this week

Constraints can also be used to split an order into many, by dividing the total order by a predefined constraint.

Example

The total order fills three containers, however the vendor will send an invoice per container.

The requirement is to send out 3 separate orders to the vendor, to match the invoices.

Navigate to Orders>constraints > split by

To split an order by a constraint

  1. Check the relevant order or lines

  2. Click on the order constraint 3D box.

  3. Select the 3x boxes: Split by Constraint option

  4. Select the constraint you wish to split the order by.

  5. Final order settings:

    1. No action: simply splits total order volume by constraint.

    2. Omit final order: splits by constraint and delete’s the last order

      1. Example: total order: 150 cubic meters, split by 66 = 2,27. 2 full container orders will be created, the third with 0,27 container load will be deleted.

    3. Use fillup: the last order will be filled by the constraint fill up (i.e. highest sales, to gain 3 full container load).
