Unlike in Items, where you can only view detailed data for one item at a time, it's possible to view sales and purchase data for multiple items and for various time periods in one screen in plans. This makes it easier to manipulate data from the bottom up, top down or middle out. Grouping the data by columns, such as, vendors or levels of the product hierarchy, allows you to see data in different ways to ensure you are creating the best foundation for order proposals.

Access either planning page by clicking on Plans in the navigation bar.

Both types of plans will help you meet future customer demand and decrease the risk of stockout or overstock. However, they draw from different data and have different purposes.
