Overview
The Customers page lists every customer in your sales history, shows which sales channel each belongs to, and lets you include or exclude customers from forecasting. Use it to see who your biggest customers are, spot customers that aren't assigned to a channel, and remove a customer's sales from the statistical forecast when they stop buying from you.
Note: Channels, including the Customers page, is part of the Planning Pro subscription and requires custom data mapping. To get access, contact your Customer Success Manager.
Open the Customers page
Open Plans in the main menu on top
Go to Customers.
Set the date range with From and To. All figures on the page are calculated for this period.
Optional: turn on Rolling to keep the range relative to today. The range then shifts forward automatically as time passes. Turn it off to use a fixed date range.
What's on the page
The page has three summary cards at the top and a customer table below them.
Summary cards
Card | What it shows |
Top Customers by Sale Value | Your three largest customers by sales value in the selected period, in your currency. |
Top Customers by Sale Qty | Your three largest customers by quantity sold in the selected period. |
Customers Without Channel | The number of customers not assigned to any sales channel. |
Customer table
Column | What it shows |
Included | Yes if the customer's sales count towards the forecast; No if the customer sale history is excluded. Excluded customers appear greyed out. |
Customer | The customer name, followed by the customer number from your ERP (for example C-001). |
Channel | The sales channel the customer belongs to. |
No. of Items | The number of different items the customer bought in the selected period. |
Sale Qty | The total quantity sold to the customer in the selected period. |
Total Rows at the bottom of the table shows how many customers match your current search and filters.
Working with customers
Find a customer
Search: type a customer name or number in Search Customers.
Filter by channel: click Channel and pick one or more channels. You can search the channel list, or select All.
Hide excluded: turn on Hide excluded to show only customers that are included in the forecast.
Include or exclude customers
Excluding a customer removes all their sales from the history, which affects the statistical forecast for every item they bought. Use this when a major customer has discontinued service, so their past demand doesn't inflate future orders.
Tick the checkbox next to one or more customers. Tick the checkbox in the header to select all.
Click Edit Customers.
Choose Included or Excluded.
Click Apply.
To clear your selection without making changes, click the X next to the selected count.
Customers excluded in Data Management still appear in the Customers tab of the item card, but you will not be able to include them or their transactions. As shown below, Greg Norman is listed but excluded.
Export the list
Click the export icon to the right and choose Excel Export or CSV Export.
Tips and FAQ
Why are some customers greyed out? They are excluded. Their sales are not used in the statistical forecast. Select them and set them to Included to use their sales again.
Can I undo an exclusion? Yes. Select the customer, click Edit Customers, choose Included and click Apply.
What should I do about customers without a channel? Check the Customers Without Channel card regularly. Customers without a channel can't be analysed by channel, so ask your customer success manager to add them to existing or a new channel.
Why do my figures change from day to day? Rolling is probably on, so the date range moves forward each day. Turn it off to compare a fixed period.
