September 2026 Release News

Monthly release news highlighting product updates

✨ What’s new

September brings some major developments to AGR, with a strong focus on AI-powered capabilities and the next generation of demand planning.

AI Sales History is now available to everyone, alongside Item Advisor and the new MCP Server, bringing AI closer to your everyday inventory and planning workflows.

On the planning side, we’re introducing our new Planner — a modern foundation for a more flexible and collaborative planning experience, with new capabilities already on the way. We’re also expanding planning to the Customer Channel level, giving you greater insight into where demand comes from and the ability to forecast, plan and manage promotional uplift for specific customer groups.

Alongside these larger developments, September includes improvements across Vendors, the Item Card, Scheduled Orders and everyday workflows to make AGR easier and more efficient to work with.

AI-Powered Capabilities

This September, AGR takes a major step forward with a new suite of AI-powered capabilities using Large Language Models (LLMs), Generative AI and Model Context Protocol (MCP)

🤖 AI Sales History

AI Sales History is officially out of beta and available to all customers., helping you build better demand patterns using AI-generated sales history.

It can be particularly useful for:

  • New items with little or no sales history

  • Strengthening seasonality when an item has limited history

✨ Item Advisor

Item Advisor is now available directly from the Item Card.

Using generative AI, Item Advisor analyzes your item data and provides useful insights into stock, demand, risks, customer behavior and suggested actions. helping you quickly understand what's happening and where attention may be needed.

📡 MCP Server: connecting AGR to your AI tools.

You can now connect your AGR environment to AI tools that support the Model Context Protocol (MCP), and ask questions about your AGR data straight from your AI assistant.

  • MCP connections are turned off by default. A user with admin rights can turn them on from User Management > MCP Connections.

  • To connect, add a custom connector in your AI tool using your AGR address followed by /mcp, for example https://yourcompany.agrinventory.net/mcp.

  • In this first release the connection is read-only. AI tools can view your data but can't change anything in AGR.

Planning

Planning is also taking a big step forward in AGR. With a new generation of planning capabilities, you’ll have greater visibility and control over demand — from managing your customer base and creating plans to forecasting and planning at the sales-channel level.

📋Plans

We’re introducing our new Planner, built on a modern foundation to provide a faster, more flexible and intuitive planning experience.

The new Planner is more than a refreshed interface. It lays the foundation for new planning capabilities that weren’t previously possible, giving us greater flexibility to evolve how you create, manage and collaborate on demand plans.

The new Planner is being rolled out gradually, with more capabilities already on the way. Coming later this year: the ability to add comments directly to planned values.

📊Channels

Manage your your sales channels. Plan demand where it happens. Channels gives you greater control over customer-driven demand, from sales visibility to channel-level forecasting and planning.

The new Channels area gives you both an overview of your customer channels and powerful tools to forecast and plan demand at the channel level.

The Channels functionality is available with Plan Pro and appears when customer channels or groups have been configured.

Overview of All Channels

Channel overview page

👥 Customers — now under Plans

The Customers page has moved from Data Management to Plans, with a refreshed interface, top three customers and improved visibility into your customer structure.

if you are using the Channel feature, you can easily see which customers belong to each Channel and quickly identify customers that have not yet been assigned to a Channel.

The existing data management capabilities remain. The page displays customers with sales transactions coming from your ERP and lets you exclude a customer's sales transactions from sales history when needed.

Vendors

And there’s more to help you stay in control of your supply. September brings several improvements to Vendors, giving you better visibility into vendor information, incoming orders and performance — all in one place.

🚚 Stay on top of incoming supply

The new Undelivered tab gives you a clear view of what’s still to come from each vendor. Quickly see open POs, overdue deliveries, undelivered quantities and outdated orders — with delivery status highlighted so you can spot delays and take action faster.

All your outstanding vendor orders, in one place.

📝 Add notes to Vendor Cards

Give your team the context behind the vendor. You can now add notes directly to a Vendor Card, keeping key information, agreements, reminders and other vendor-specific details visible and accessible in one place.

📅 Vendor period filter

We've improved the period filter on Vendor pages for a smoother filtering experience.

When you disable the rolling period, a calendar selector now appears, allowing you to choose the specific period you want to review. This is available in both the Vendor Overview and Lead Time Analysis.

🚚 The On-time delivery buffer column on the Vendor Overview now displays the globally configured value when no vendor-specific value has been set.

📥 Export Vendor data to Excel

Export to Excel is now available across Vendor pages, making it easier to analyze vendor and lead-time information or share it outside AGR.

🗂️ Item Card improvements

🔎 See the full picture — your Item Card, your way

Get the complete picture of an item in one view. You can now split the Item Card into multiple views and bring the information that matters most side by side.

Compare sales and demand, stock development, customer demand, BOM demand, distribution demand and plans without jumping between tabs — making it easier to spot trends, understand what’s driving demand and see how it impacts future stock.

Build the view that works for you and get the insight you need to plan confidently and make faster, better-informed replenishment decisions.

Item Card section tabs are back

Based on user feedback, section tabs are back on the Item Card when there is enough screen space.

🔗 Share reports with the right people — and the right access

We’ve made report sharing more flexible, giving you greater control over who can view and who can edit your reports.

Share with everyone, specific user groups or individual users, and choose the appropriate access level for each. This makes it easier to collaborate on reports while staying in control of who can make changes.

🚚 Item info: See the vendor name on undelivered orders

The Undelivered section in Item Info now displays the vendor name in the Order From field, making it easier to identify where incoming stock is expected from.

📧 Better Scheduled Order review emails

Review emails now show the location for each Order ID. Clicking the link takes you directly to the orders requiring review rather than the full order list.

📚 Easier access to AGR learning resources

We’ve added a new link to our self-service learning content in the Knowledge menu in AGR. This gives you quick access to learning resources alongside our documentation and support chat.

🛠️ Fixes & Improvements

🔽Clearer dropdowns - Dropdown fields now automatically expand to display the full label, making longer options easier to read.

⚡Faster order routing - Backend performance improvements help order routing process faster.

📅 Sales Order Days Back validation — The Sales Order Days Back setting determines how far back AGR looks for open sales orders with delivery dates in the past, allowing them to be treated as open demand in order calculations and included when calculating replenishment needs. The setting now accepts values between 0–2000 days, consistent with the Undelivered Orders setting.

➗ Clearer errors in Computed Columns

If a calculation attempts to divide by zero, Computed Columns now display a clear division by zero error instead of returning an unclear result.

📊 Sales Plan values for the current month - Fixed an issue where past values for the current month were not displayed correctly in the Sales Plan on the Item Card. The Item Card now shows the current month as a single full-month column again. The new split between past and remaining values will be introduced to the Item Card in a future update.

🔄 Selected rows remain selected after refresh - Fixed an issue in the Items and Reports grids where refreshing the page cleared the currently selected row.

Your selected row now remains selected after refreshing the grid.

🔤 Items with ABC Classification X now correctly use the global Safety Stock Days setting.

🧮Corrected Demand for Order Period for scheduled items. Demand is now calculated from the next order date through the end of the order period, rather than from today.

Safety Stock Days: Corrected calculations when safety stock is calculated one lead time ahead, ensuring the configured sales order policy is respected.

As always bug fixes & minor changes were made in the system to improve stability, performance, and user experience.

We appreciate your feedback and look forward to continuing to improve the AGR platform.
